to families who have lost a child under the age of two years old.
We are a non-denominational cemetery and serve families from all different religions; our grounds have been blessed by various clergy from a wide range of faiths. Our cemetery is open to all families regardless if they are using our funeral home or have selected another option. We work hand in hand with funeral homes in and out of the area to provide excellent service to all families.
Our cemetery has a Veteran's Circle to honor those who have served our country. This area has niches for the burial of cremains, and spaces for the placement of Veteran's Markers. This is also the focal point of our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony which is held every November 11th at 10:30. Our ceremony includes a guest speaker who is selected from area Veterans, a riderless horse, honor guard, and dual taps as played at Arlington National Cemetery.
Another tribute to our country includes the retired flag depository located on our grounds. A red, white and blue mail drop box is located just inside our gates on St. Nicholas Court for those who have old damaged flags. The flags are then properly retired for our community.
Ponte Vedra Valley holds a special ceremony, our Memory Tree Lighting, for the families who have a loved one intered at our cemetery. This ceremony is always the Saturday following the Thanksgiving weekend. A special invitation is sent out to families, and a bulb engraved with the loved ones name is placed on our Memory Tree. At 4:30 p.m., on the day of the ceremony, we have a trio from the Jacksonville Symphony play holiday music for a time of fellowship, and at 5:00 p.m. Patricia West begins reading the names on the tree.
This is a special time to devote to the loved one who is not with you during the holiday season. We also have Remembrance Votive Lights available for purchase for those who would like to have perpetual light at their loved ones gravesite throughout the holidays.

Ponte Vedra Valley has established a Care and Maintenance Trust Fund to ensure that the beauty of the cemetery will remain in perpetuity. A deposit is made into this fund for each site as it closes.
We are also a licensed monument dealer available to help families select a lasting tribute to their loved ones. We have many different options from flat markers, to upright markers, to the construction of private estates. We also have many options for memorial benches and statuary.
Ponte Vedra Valley is a member in good standing of the International Cemetery and Funeral Association, and the Southern Cemetery Association. We subscribe to their Code of Ethics and high standards in all of our professional dealings.
Our knowledgeable and helpful staff is available for our families 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are able to serve families at the time of need, and also for those who are choosing to pre-plan their cemetery arrangements.
Today many individuals and families are making the decision to prearrange their funerals. The advantages make sense. Planning your own funeral enables you to make your wishes known, provides an opportunity for you to involve your family in making arrangements for your memorialization, and relieves you and your loved ones of future financial responsibility. Please contact us at any time at or for more information.
