Roger was born and raised in Illinois. After attending high school in Oak Park, IL, Roger earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois. During this time, he became the Cadent Commander of the University’s ROTC. After 3 years in the Army, Roger joined Westinghouse Electric.
His career spanned 35 years, three continents and a variety of ever-increasing roles from; Vice President of Westinghouse’s Offshore Power Systems in Jacksonville FL, to Country Manager of Iran, based in Tehran to President of Westinghouse – Japan based in Tokyo.
Roger was married for 65 years to Louise. They have three children: David, Jamie, and Trish as well as, four grandchildren: Ethan, Spencer, Addison, and Ben.
Outside of family, golf was Roger’s primary passion. He started playing when he was 11 and continued throughout his life. Culminating in a number of club championships and his inclusion into the “Munchkins”. A close-knit group of golfers based at T.P.C. - Sawgrass.
