Michele Franciose (Wilkin) Casper, 66, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at her home in Ponte Vedra, FL, surrounded by loved ones.  She was born on December 27, 1957 in Manhasset, NY to Wayne and Jacqueline (Brissette) Wilkin.  She attended Huntington High School and worked as a Spa director for Marriot and Hilton hotels, finishing her career working at Wild Birds Unlimited – by far her favorite job.  Michele married Edwin Casper on September 14, 2013 on Jacksonville Beach, FL.  Michele loved family, friends, and lived life to the fullest! Her most notable qualities being her infectious, joyous spirit and contagious laugh and smile. Her positive outlook for the future was a defining feature and will be greatly missed.  She also enjoyed Tae Kwon Do, triathlons, painting, gardening, wild birds, hiking, and traveling.  Michele was a member of St. Francis in the Field Episcopal Church.  She is survived by her husband, Edwin Casper, daughter Lauren Badenhoop, Oceanside, CA, stepsons Mark (Madison) Casper, St. John’s, FL, and Kevin Casper, Lake Worth Beach, FL; granddaughter, Adalyn Casper and grandson, Cedar Badenhoop; brother Doug (Lynn) Wilkin, Hollywood, MD; and three nieces, Jennifer (Greg) Bergin, Goose Creek SC, Danielle Wilkin, USAF-South Korea, and April (Alan) Sieck, Westminster, CO; she was proceeded in death by her parents Wayne and Jacqueline Wilkin, sister, Lola Jeanne Wilkin and brother, Wayne Wilkin.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday April 22 at St. Francis in the Field Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra with a reception to follow.  A private family burial will take place after the memorial service/reception.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to cancercare.org.
