Leopold Filipkowski, 93, passed away June 16, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to in Newark, NJ, on November 23, 1922. Leopold was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Albina, and grandson, Erik. He is survived by three sons, Leonard, Thomas and Michael; five grandchildren, Thomas, Catherine, Jack Henry, Melissa and Michael; one great granddaughter, Sienna. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, June 24, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Ponte Vedra Beach. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
