Alice H. Moore "Mama", 79, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She loved being a full-time grandmother, helping raise her younger daughter's oldest son, Alex, since his birth and serving as a positive influence in all of her grandchildren's lives. Born in China, Alice lived in Taiwan, California and Japan before moving to Florida in 1989. Upon arriving in Jacksonville, she resided at Hidden Hills Country Club where she enjoyed golf, tennis and all of the amenities of the community.

When diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2011, she was determined to beat this disease that was deemed incurable. With the help of the miraculous doctors and helpful staff at the Mayo Clinic, she fought to achieve remission several times over the years. As a result, she was able to be a part of countless family milestones as well as take trips to Italy, Boston, San Francisco and, most recently, a family cruise to Alaska and Canada. Since moving to Ponte Vedra, she has enjoyed being a part of the Nocatee community and being closer to her family in Saint Augustine. She led a full and happy life through adventurous travel, good food, and most of all, her loving grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, two daughters, Rachel (Colman) Brodsky and Renee Wilson, and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice or The Mayo Clinic.
