On Wednesday January 11, 2023, Allan Michael Short passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was 81. Born to David and Bessie Short, Allan left his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Mezer Short, his daughter, Michelle Short, his son, David Short, and three grandchildren, Olivia Short, Judah Short, and India Short.
Allan graduated from Clark University, Tufts University School of Dentistry, and the Tufts University Orthodontic Program. He was a Clinical Instructor of Orthodontics at Tufts University for 40 years and had a private Orthodontic practice. Allan was an avid boater and loved anything to do with the ocean.
Allan was best known for his kindness, his open and accepting attitude towards everyone, and his generous spirit. He will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery and Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson’s Association or the Wounded Warrior Association.
