Andrew Durell “Drew” Beasley, 35, passed away peacefully at home with his family on January 22, 2018, after a brief illness. Drew was born on December 31, 1982, in Jacksonville, FL. He grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach and Palm Valley attending the local schools. Drew had a deep love for his family and a passion for life, music, sports and friends. He particularly had a passion for the kitchen starting at age of 15 washing dishes and then as a cook at Lulus Grille where he made many life-time friends. From there he attended Johnson and Wales University majoring in Culinary Arts. Drew was a talented Chef whose creations were enjoyed by his family and guests of many restaurants where he was employed. Drew also received his AA in Social Services at FSCJ because of his desire to help others. Drew had a love of music enjoying many concerts with family and friends through the years. Drew also had a taste for fashion, especially shoes. Andrew is survived by his parents, Vaughn and Leslie Beasley, and Pamela Lichter; his sisters, Alysia Lawrence (Trent) and Amy Thompson (George); and his nieces and nephews, Tristan Beasley-Painter, Emily Lawrence, Caden Lawrence, Mackenzie Thompson, Gavin Lawrence and Mason Thompson; and his cat, Kiki.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, January 25, from 5-7 pm, at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. A celebration of Drew’s life will be held on Friday, January 26, 11 am, at Ponte Vedra Valley.
