Ann Seal went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2024. Ann was born in Brookhaven MS on February 26, 1936 to Ema Mildred Coker Nations and Howard Leon Nations. Ann was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson MS, and she attended Hinds Community College in Raymond MS, Jeff Davis Community College in Biloxi MS, and William Carey College in Hattiesburg MS. She was a United States Air Force wife for most of her adult life and enjoyed moving around the country with her husband to his USAF assignments. When asked which of the twenty plus places she lived was her favorite, her response was always the same – she loved every place she ever lived. She loved traveling and visiting family and friends wherever they went. Ann was always very active in her community and in her church wherever she lived. Following a lengthy career as a military spouse, she lived in Tupelo MS for approximately 30 years where she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS, serving in various capacities. She found great joy in serving the Lord and helping others.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hamilton Seal. She loved saying they had 42 glorious years together. She was very devoted to him and he to her. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Ema Mildred Coker and Howard Leon Nations; her sister and brother-in law Ida, Mildred and Paul Scott Sellars of Starkville MS; her brother, Perry Leon (Barbara) Nations of Madison MS; her son, Gary Blaine Higgins of Mandeville LA; and her stepson, Stephen Paul Seal of Baton Rouge LA.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Tina Patrice Higgins (Paul) Baker of Jacksonville FL; her stepdaughter, Mary Anne (Jay) Hall of Pueblo CO; and her stepdaughter, Lisa Marie Seal of Lynn Haven FL. She has six grandchildren: Danielle Stevens (Ed) Andreassen of Lynn Haven FL; Ashley Megan Baker (Radu) Gheorghe of Ponte Vedra FL; Paul Landon (Emily) Baker of Lacey WA; Lara Elizabeth Higgins (Joe) Crutcher of Panama City FL; Timothy Andrew Higgins of New Orleans LA; and Joseph Daniel Hall of Pueblo CO. She has four great-grandchildren: Olive Lisa Andreassen of Lake Haven FL; Ella Grace Baker and Luca Radu Gheorghe of Ponte Vedra FL; and Cassian Paul Baker of Lacey WA. She is also survived by many loving sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends whom she dearly loved.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4-6 PM at Ponte Vedra Valley. Interment will be Friday, February 2, 2024, at 9 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult B Sunday School Class and Senior Friends at Calvary Baptist Church, Tupelo MS.
