LAZENBY Anne Busky Lazenby went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2015. She passed peacefully at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in Jacksonville after a rapid decline from the effects of ALS. She leaves a long legacy of love and laughter. Anne is survived by her husband of 47 years, Maurice Maury Lazenby; daughter, Meghan Shriver (Chris) of Ponte Vedra; son, Matthew (Jennifer) of Baltimore, MD; brothers, Dennis Busky (Susan) and Gregory Busky (Lois) of Baltimore, MD. Anne was the proud and loving grandmother of Andrew, James Edward and Luke Lazenby, and Anne Dawson and Powell Jacob Shriver, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Francis Gayer. Born in Baltimore on March 11, 1943, Anne graduated from Seton High School and attended the University of Maryland. After marrying Maury, they moved to San Diego, and then returned to Baltimore. After a transfer to Huntington, WV, they returned again to Baltimore, finally settling in Ponte Vedra Beach in 1990. Everywhere she went she won deeply affectionate, life-long friends with her extremely thoughtful and giving nature, lively and outgoing personality, and unique wit. She was especially fond of and good with children and young people who sensed a kindred spirit who was truly interested in them. She loved music, dancing and socializing with friends and family and was often the life of the party. Anne was a devoted Roman Catholic who attended Mass daily and never missed a service, even when traveling. She was an active member of the parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Ponte Vedra Beach. She will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends who will remember her with loving hearts and a smile. There will be a Memorial Mass service at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 545 A1A North, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, at 11 am on Friday, January 9th. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mission House in Jacksonville Beach or the American Cancer Society . Please sign the online guestbook at www.pontevedravalley.com.
