Ava Grace Jones passed away peacefully at home the morning of Monday, January 23, 2023, after a brave two-and-a-half-year battle with a rare pediatric cancer.  Ava was born to parents Kevin and Kym Jones, on December 7, 2012, in St. Augustine, FL, and resided in Ponte Vedra, FL.

Ava loved going to the beach, shopping, playing with friends, horseback riding, going to the movies, zoo, Alligator Farm, Chuck E. Cheese, Dave & Buster’s, playing claw machine games, being a Palm Valley Academy Bobcat, and most importantly, loved food.  At a young age Ava’s tastebuds far surpassed that of many adults.   She loved Asian food and seafood.

She was known for her generous, friendly spirit and love of animals. Ava loved to dance and sing and hoped to be a singer when she grew up.  Her favorite shows were Friends and Cobra Kai and her favorite color was blue.  Ava adored her dog, Ty; cats, Biscuit and Hachi; and her five Glofish, Ava, Gia, Audrina, Makena and Meika.

Ava is survived by her loving parents, Kevin and Kym Jones; her grandparents, James and Patricia Gilliam, and Edward and Judy Jones.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at later date.
