Barbara Willis Inabinet, 84, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on December 4, 2022.

Barbara was born in Aiken, SC. She was a graduate of the Limestone College, earning a B.S. in Business.

Barbara was married to Hubert, now deceased, and is survived by her children, Hubert “Bert” Inabinet, Angie Bailey (Criag), and daughter in law, Sophia Inabinet (Wayne); five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her spouse, Hubert; parents, Raymond and Lila Willis); and son, Wayne.

Barbara spent most of her career working for the Federal Government in various roles as she followed her husband who was in the military.  After his death she worked for the IRS, then the DOL as an EEO Specialist before she retired.  She received notable recognition for her efforts in this job around helping minorities and women.

Barbara was known as a strong, independent woman and loved being at home after she retired.  She loved animals, especially dachshunds, birds, flowers, butterflies, and the beach.  She enjoyed watching football including the SC Gamecocks and stayed loyal to the Jacksonville Jags in spite of many losing seasons!

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to your local pet shelter in her honor.  A private celebration of life will be held later in South Carolina where she will be reunited with her husband at Wesley Chapel Church in St. Matthews, SC.
