Barbara W. Scott, 71, was born in Flushing, New York, and passed on August 13, of our Lord, 2021. She is survived by her sons, Keith and Kevin Scott, and will be laid to rest next to her middle son, Darren Scott, who passed on May 24, 2000. She is the only daughter of Herbert and Olga Weindorf and survived by her brothers, Ronald, Richard, Robert and Brian, and was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Herbert Weindorf.
She was a dedicated teacher who had a passion for her profession of 37 years. She did what she loved until she retired in 2017 from the St. Johns County School District where she was the reading specialist at Gamble Rodgers Middle School. There wasn’t a place she could go in St. Augustine where a student or a former student wouldn't come up to her and give her a smile and a hug.
She loved her grandchildren from oldest to youngest, Christian, Daryn, Keith Jr., and Easton Scott. She lived through them and they were always her priority and the center of her love and caring nature. Like her mother, she loved to be outside in the garden and with nature and had a green thumb that everyone marveled over.
Barbara will be dearly missed and her service to remember her life and love will be held on Saturday, August 21, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at the Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
