Bette Argeris Blanc, 92, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, died peacefully at her home Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1924, in Elizabeth, NJ, to Soteros and Crysanthe Cocalis. As a longtime resident of Deal, NJ, she moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, in 2000.
Bette was preceded in death by her son, Dana Argeris; daughter, Nancy Argeris Naldrett; first husband, Stephen Argeris; brothers, James, George, and Alexander; sisters, Virginia, Marya and Ethel.
Bette had many talents and interests. She enjoyed traveling, painting, gardening, reading and sports. As an avid skier and golfer, she spent many weekends with family at their home in Okemo Mountain as well as warmer days playing golf at the Deal Golf Club. Until recently, she enjoyed playing golf at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach. An accomplished business woman, Bette owned and operated The Berry Patch in Fair Haven, NJ for over 30 years. She was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After retiring to Ponte Vedra Beach, she traveled to all her grandchildren’s high school and college graduations, weddings and special events up and down the East Coast, as well as many trips to Ecuador. Bette is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Franklin Blanc; daughter and son in law, Stephanie Argeris Ugalde and Julio Ugalde; daughter in law, Jeanne Argeris; son in law, Michael Naldrett; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held.
