Brandon Felmet, 49, passed away on February 25, 2023. A memorial service will be held on March 31 at the Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, 4750 Palm Valley Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, at 3PM EST.
Brandon was born the 1974 New Year’s baby to Dale and Dian Felmet in Hickory, NC.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Felmet. Brandon is survived by his wife, Kelly Felmet of Saint Augustine, FL; two daughters, MacKenzie and Sydney Felmet of Tallahassee, FL; his mother, Dian Watkins and husband Bill Watkins of Hickory, NC; and his sister, Susan Little with husband, Kevin Little, and their daughters Savannah and Candace Little of Holly Springs, NC.
Brandon grew up in Hickory, NC, where he attended Fred T. Foard High School and later earned his associates degree from Catawba Valley Community College. He then married his wife, Kelly, in 1996 at Mount Zion Lutheran Church. Brandon worked in the furniture industry before moving to Florida in 2010 to pursue his lifelong passion of spicy food. He owned and managed the Pepper Palace in downtown Saint Augustine, FL. Brandon later entered the insurance industry working for Allstate.
Brandon was a proud father, husband, business owner, and friend. He enjoyed the spiciest of foods, a good poker game, and trying to solve mystery novels before the last chapter. In his spare time, you could find him woodworking, trying a new restaurant, or playing trivia.
