MIDDLEKAUFF Brigid P. Middlekauff, 81, died, Thursday, October 15, 2015 peacefully in her home in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on February 4th, 1934 in the town of Tralee in Ireland. She immigrated to the United States in 1959, where she met her husband Norman E. Middlekauff and they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Brigid had a passion for teaching and worked as a substitute teacher for 25 years for the Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine and was instrumental in the start of Holy Spirit Catholic School. She was known as the teacher of the faith by her students and colleagues. Her greatest passion in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the best grandmother. She was a proud parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Brigid is survived by her husband, Norman; three daughters, Debbie (Brian) Dineen, Noreen (Brian) Bennett, Rose Ann (Henry) White; one son, David Middlekauff; six grandsons, Brendan, Joseph (Christina), and Andrew (Taylor) Dineen, Christopher White, Alex Bennett, and David Middlekauff Jr; three granddaughters, Kelsi Bennett, Christina White, and Courtney Middlekauff; one brother, Fred McKenna. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, October 19, 2015, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow on October 20, 2015, at 11 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Jacksonville, FL.
