Brizeida Shehu Cici, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2022, following a long illness.

Brizeida was born in Tirana, Albania in 1965 to Tomorr and Fatime Shehu.  An Albanian native, Brizeida graduated from Qemal Stafa high school in 1984 and later attended college to become a dental hygienist from Shkolla Dentare. Brizeida was married to Agim Cici in 1986 and in 2001 they moved with their two children, Enea and Antoneta, to Florida, United States.

Brizeida was a loving and gentle mother, daughter, and sister. She was devoted in her faith and Christian service as a Jehovah’s Witness, having been baptized in 2011.  Brizeida enjoyed cooking family recipes and time spent with loved ones.  She bravely faced a long illness with a strong and resilient spirit.  Brizeida is survived by her son, Enea Cici; daughter, Antoneta Cici; sister, Liljana Zela (Ilir Zela); and her brother, Gezim Shehu (Aida Shehu, niece, Ami Shehu and nephew, Tom Shehu). Brizeida was deeply devoted to family. Her loving presence and kind spirit will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 27, 2022, 11:00 am, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, 32082.

The family is graciously accepting flowers delivered to the funeral home for the service on Saturday.
