Carol Combs Ebert of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, sadly passed away on July 3, 2023, just shy of her 88th birthday. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 30, 1935. Carol moved to South Florida as a child where she would happily live the majority of her life. She attended and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in psychology and was a member of the Water Ballet Team. Carol met her future husband, Jerry Ebert, in high school, and they began dating each other in college. Carol and Jerry were married on September 14, 1957, and after Jerry’s three years of service in the United States Air Force, they settled in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they would raise their three children.

Carol was an active member of Memorial Presbyterian Church (West Palm Beach, FL), the Junior League of The Palm Beaches, enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, crafting, and endless bridge games that created many friendships for over 50 years. Most importantly Carol was an elegant and understanding mother that loved her children dearly, a devoted wife and a loyal life long friend to those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jerry F. Ebert. Surviving family who will cherish her memory include her children Nancy Ebert Allen and her husband, Steve (Atlanta, GA), Janice Ebert Meyers and her husband, Stephan (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) and Andrew J. Ebert and his wife, Missy (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL). Also, her grandchildren Ian Allen and his wife, Jenna, Brandon Allen and his wife, Joanna, Logan Ebert, Cole Ebert and Mason Ebert. And, her eight great-grandchildren, Addie Allen, Avery Allen, Devan Allen, Rachel Allen, Savannah Allen, Joshua Allen, Kate Allen and Caroline Allen.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, on August 4 at 2:00 p.m.
