On January 9, 2021, Carol Hinkley Houghton passed away in peace.

Carol was born in Worcester, MA in 1946.  Shortly afterward her family moved to Dayton, OH where Carol lived until 1982.  She resided in Jacksonville, FL over the past 39 years.  

Carol was a full-time mother for her two daughters into their elementary school years.  In 1991, she completed a nursing degree at Florida Community College Jacksonville.  She worked as a nurse in a senior community health center until her retirement in 2010.

Carol leaves behind years of cherished memories.  We celebrate her gentle nature, readiness to help others, and love.

Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Houghton, daughter Karen Houghton Gaglioti and husband Chad Gaglioti, daughter Heather Houghton and partner Cheyenne Layton, grandsons Aiden and Cody Layton and brother Thomas Hinkley.

A memorial service will be determined at a later date.
