Carolyn Shaw Feathers, 81, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born February 24, 1945 in Miami, Florida, daughter of William Crippen Shaw and Alouida (Champion) Shaw, she graduated from Southwest Miami High School in 1963. She met Ed, her future husband, in Miami Lakes, Florida and on May 23, 1981, they joined hands- in marriage at the Miami Lakes Inn and Country Club. During the time she lived in Miami Lakes, Carolyn owned and operated a women’s clothing store and also worked as an accountant.

In 2013, Carolyn and Ed moved from Miami Lakes to Ponte Vedra, Florida. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Susanne S. Sams; nephew, Derek William Shaw and son Matthew; nephew, Jason Robert Shaw; niece, Cynthia Lorraine Shaw (Frazier) and daughter Tracie and son James Dornburgh; son, Juan Paredes; and grandchildren, Joanna, Nicole and Rodrigo. Carolyn was preceded in death by brother, Charles William Shaw.

Carolyn enjoyed playing golf, documenting her family ancestry, cruising the Atlantic to Europe, and raising long-hair cats. Her favorite musical group was ABBA and she enjoyed country music. Her favorite charities were Save the Manatees and Big Oak Wolf Sanctuary in Green Cove Springs, Fl.

Carolyn was a caring and strong person and fought cancer for many years. Her wish was to be cremated with only immediate family in attendance.
