Carrie Marie Ruliva, 23, passed away in Santa Ana, California, on July 31, 2023.

Carrie was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 7, 1999, to Daniel Floyd Ruliva, Sr. And Kelly Ann Ruliva.

She graduated from Terry Parker Senior Highschool in her hometown and recently completed, at top of her class, the accelerated Substance Use Disorder Counselor Certification Education required for her to enter her internship while living in Santa Ana.

Carrie is survived by her parents, Daniel Floyd Ruliva, Sr. And Kelly Ann Ruliva; her brother, Daniel Floyd Ruliva, Jr.; and her twin sister, Melanie Leigh Ruliva, all from Jacksonville, Florida.

She is also survived by her loving grandparents, Mike and Sally Bennett of Bryceville, Florida and Mike and Lydia Ruliva of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Alice Ruliva; and maternal great grandmothers, Virginia Hart and Mary Andongo.

Carrie was a huge lover of animals and could tell you many things about them. She had a dog named Gravy, a spider named Muffins and a turtle named Morpheus (to name a few). She especially loved insects and was always ready with “fun facts” about them for anyone who would listen.

She never met a stranger, loved her family and friends unconditionally, and always thought of other’s first.

Carrie was her father’s “tiniest baby”, her mother’s “flower butterfly”, her brother’s “Care-bear”, and her sister’s “womb-mate”.

She left behind so many to mourn her passing and is missed beyond measure, but the terrible pain of losing her pales in comparison to the joy of having known her.

Carrie, we love you to the moon and beyond, our sweet little pixie. You will always be remembered with love and laughter, little princess.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, 11 am, at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
