Cheryl Schmidt, 62, passed away on January 22, 2022, in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was born August 20, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois.  She is survived by her loving partner, Scott Campbell; her beloved parents, Ronald and Doreen Schmidt; her sisters, Linda Polacek (Robert), Julie Cook (Rick), Barbara Jones (Allen); her six nephews and one niece, Scott Polacek (Rachel), Kurtis Polacek (Amanda), Kevin Polacek (Murrella), Corey Jones (Stefi), Kelly Polacek (Carter), Ryan Polacek, and Robert Cook; as well as one great nephew, Wesley; and one great niece, Evangeline.  

Cheryl worked for many years as store manager for one of the most successful and largest Jo-Ann Fabric stores in the Chicagoland area.

Cheryl was a true free spirit with a huge heart.  Her passion to make everyone smile and laugh was a true gift.  Her true joy in life was sharing warm and meaningful times with family and friends.  Puzzle time with her parents always had a special place in her heart.  Cheryl was deeply loved and will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
