Claire M. Lee, 74, passed away on February 2, 2021, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She was born to Frank and Jennie Pieroni on February 17, 1946, and was raised in Ridgefield, New Jersey. Claire graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1964. She worked as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant throughout her working career. She married Richard (Dick) Lee of Palisades Park, New Jersey, in 1974 and they lived in Wanaque, New Jersey before retiring to Florida.
Claire was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Genevieve P. Harvel; sister-in-law, Jeanne Pieroni; brother-in-law, Walter Czyzewski; nieces, Robin Sheffler and Kathleen (Eddie) Lee; nephews, Ronald Czyzewski, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Czyzewski, and Garry (Amy) Pieroni. She also leaves behind three great nephews, three great nieces, one great-great niece, and her golden retriever, Stella. Claire was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Pieroni, and sister, Audrey Czyzewski.
Claire loved to dance, party, and visit with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor, kept a lovely home and garden, and was a wonderful cook. She and Dick enjoyed entertaining family and friends and were always gracious hosts and a lot of fun. Claire was an avid reader and animal lover and rescued many dogs over her lifetime.
A private service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you consider making a donation to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
