Connie Arnold Britt, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her home in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born on July 14, 1946, to Thomas and Vera (Nipper) Arnold in Jacksonville, where she remained a life-long resident. Connie graduated from Englewood High School in 1964 and then attended St. Johns River Jr. College.  Following school, she worked for Ryder/PIE and also was employed as a technical writer for Synergistic Systems.  For the past 20 years, she has been the Vice President of Kalco Leasing.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, Louie Britt, with whom she was married 25 years.  She was also a devoted mother to four surviving children, Tiffany (Danny) Roberts, Tosha (James) Abbott, Ashley (Troy) Fries, and Blu Britt.  To her four surviving grandchildren, Gia Martin, Grayson Roberts, Mazzy Roberts and Troy Fries Jr., she was “MeMaw” and they loved her so.  Survivors also include her two sisters, Dian (Ken) Brownfield of Savannah, GA, and Debbie (Mark) Trail of Houston, TX.  She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she adored.  Connie also had many friends who will miss her dearly.  And last but not least, she leaves behind her beloved goldendoodle, Scout.

Connie was just as beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside.  She was truly the heart of her family.  She loved spending time with them, but especially delighted in spoiling her grandkids and showering them with love.  Holiday gatherings at her home were always special and she was a fabulous host and cook.

Her parents preceded her in death, and as their health declined she lovingly cared for them with a devotion rarely seen.  She was an amazing daughter.

Connie loved fishing, spending time at the beach, socializing with her life-long friends and cruising with Louie in their red Camaro.  Her fun-loving ways and sense of humor will be sorely missed.

She was a woman of great faith who regularly attended The Church of Eleven 22 Mandarin.  Her talents included being an eloquent writer and poet.

Funeral services officiated by her nephew, Pastor Cody Trail of Dallas, TX, will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home and Cemetery.  A reception will follow the chapel and graveside services.
