Constance Jean “Connie” Mondok, 82, of Ponte Vedra, Florida, formerly a longtime resident of Hermitage, PA, passed away on October 20, 2026.

Born September 21, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio, Connie was the daughter of the late Twyde Marshall and Eva Bradley Marshall. Her late stepfather, Anthony Tataseo, helped raise her.

Connie graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1962, and from the Sharon General Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She devoted much of her time caring for others as a registered nurse, working early in her career at Sharon Regional Hospital and in the office of Dr. Andrew Butchko. She retired in 2010 after more than 20 years with the office of Dr. Robert Morgenstern.

Connie was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sharon, Pa.

After moving to Raleigh, NC, she became a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Wake Forest, NC.

On June 18, 1966, Connie married her beloved husband of 53 years, David Mondok, whom preceded her in death on December 27, 2019.

After retiring, Connie and Dave moved from Hermitage, PA, to Raleigh, NC, to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Her four grandchildren, who endearingly called her “Gaga”, were the greatest joy of her life. Whether attending a hockey, baseball, or softball game or a dance recital, Connie and Dave were always there to cheer them on. They were their grandchildren’s biggest fans, and those moments together became treasured family memories.

Connie enjoyed sewing, making and sharing new recipes, and collecting holiday decor. Fondest memories were made while baking cookies and making chocolate covered pretzels with her grandchildren. She was an active member of her community, serving on the HOA board, and enjoyed planning events that brought neighbors together; as well as an avid shoe shopper.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Susan Imposimato and her husband, Tony, of Ponte Vedra, Florida; her son, David Mondok and his wife, Brenda, of Willow Spring, North Carolina; and her four beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Ava, Brooke, and Mia.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather and her brothers, James and Don Tataseo.

Connie will be lovingly remembered for her strength, faith, selflessness, endless generosity and loyalty to her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Connie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation to support research into Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Donations may be made online at www.alzdiscovery.org/donate

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Monday, November 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM, followed by an interment at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
