Cynthia “Cindy” Logsdon Hippensteal, 86, from Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Cindy was born February 3, 1938 in Bethlehem, PA to Harley and Cynthia Logsdon.
Cindy graduated from Liberty High School in 1955. She worked in the banking industry after graduation until she retired and relocated to Jacksonville, FL. On August 2, 1958 she married the ‘Love of her Life”, Richard T. Hippensteal. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage and were blessed with two daughters, Heidi Walton of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Chuss (Todd) of Perkiomenville, PA.
Cindy was a loving wife and mother, devoted to her family and friends. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Neptune Beach, FL where she was an active member of the United Women in Faith. She enjoyed all the activities with her ‘Sisters in Faith’. She was a faithful follower of the Lord, generously supporting many organizations such as St. Judes, Shriners, Tunnel to Towers and Guiding Eyes, to name a few. She is survived by her daughters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her brother, Harley Jr.; and her parents.
A celebration of life service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church in Neptune Beach, FL, on January 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Final inurnment will occur at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, on January 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
