RIMER Daniel P. Rimer, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home in St. Augustine, Florida. He was born on June 30, 1956 to David and Pauline Rimer in Covington, KY. Daniel is survived by two sons, Daniel M Rimer, of Rockingham, NC, and Dennis G. Rimer, of Jacksonville, Fl; two grandchildren, Savannah and Gavan Rimer; his mother, Pauline Rimer of KY; one brother, Mike Rimer; and five sisters, Julie Hipple, Donna Bonar, Jeanette Keller, Marlene Arlinghaus, and Karen Kanner, all of KY. He was preceded in death by his father, David Rimer and brother, David Rimer. Daniel began a lifelong career with the railroad in September of 1974. During his 40 year career, he held various positions across the eastern United States. He retired from CSX Transportation in December 2014. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, traveling and painting. Services will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley - visitation will be Tuesday, August 11th from 7-9pm, funeral service on Wednesday at 11am.
