Dennis F. Burmeister, 84, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

Dennis was born on February 19, 1942, in North Muskegon, Michigan, to Lester and Helen (Shull) Burmeister. He grew up in Michigan, graduating from North Muskegon High School in 1960. He went on to attend Jacksonville University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Following his education, Dennis proudly served his country as an Air Traffic Control Operator in the Army National Guard of Florida.

On June 1, 1973, Dennis married, Patricia "Patti" Warner, in Folkston, Georgia. Together, they shared a beautiful life and raised two children, Gary and Lisa. Dennis was a man of strong work ethic, dedicating multiple decades of hard work as a Senior Account Manager for General Mills before his well-earned retirement.

Outside of his professional life, Dennis was an avid football fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Michigan Wolverines. He brought joy to those around him through his love of music and dancing. Above all, his greatest passion was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his four grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Patti; his parents, Lester and Helen; his brother, David Burmeister; and his sister, Debra Farley.

He is survived by his son, Gary Burmeister (Melina) and daughter, Lisa Banks (Jason); his brother, Thomas Burmeister (Susan); and his four adored grandchildren, Nolan and Ashlyn Banks, and Kayla and Megan Burmeister, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

A private family service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley.
