On April 25, 2019, Dorothy Lynch passed away peacefully in her sleep a few days after her 91 birthday.  She was born in Queens, NY, in 1928, the second of three sisters.  Dorothy was married in 1955 and had three children.  A lifelong fan of the game of tennis she shared the love of that sport with all those around her.  At the age of fifty, she started a career as a registered nurse and touched the lives of countless patients who were in her care.  When her children started families of their own, she filled the role of caregiver for her grandchildren, sharing the love and wisdom of her years with them.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Francis Lynch; mother, Martha Coleman Alte; sisters, Maureen Drohan and Virginia Bass.  Dorothy is survived by her three children, Ellie, Steve, and Ken Lynch; daughter-in-law, Julie Lynch; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Laura (Will), Sarah, Andy, Katie, Colin and Annabel; nieces and nephews, Larry, Doug, Jackie, Paul, Tommy, Mary Joan and Christopher. A funeral mass will be held at St. John Paull II Catholic Mission Church, 127 Stone Mason Way, Ponte Vedra, FL on Saturday, May 4, at 12 noon.
