Elaine M. (Wiegers) Elash of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. Elaine was proceeded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, David J. Elash. She was one of 5 children born to the late Eleanor and Conrad Wiegers. The family moved often during Elaine's childhood finally settling in Wexford, Pennsylvania. She graduated from North Allegheny High School and attended Duquesne University. It was during this time that Elaine met the love of her life and future husband, David. Mutual friends introduced them and a life long romance began. They traveled the world together visiting Europe, Asia and Africa. Professionally, Elaine was very proud of her long career as a model and actress in Pittsburgh.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Celeste (Tom) Kopf; beloved grandson, Silas O. Kopf; loyal canine companion, Lexie; siblings Kirk (Susan) Wiegers, Rebecca (Leslie) Wiegers, Barbara (Scott) Becker, Thomas (Jolene) Wiegers; brother-in-law, Andrew (Marietta) Elash, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family. Elaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
