Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Elaine W. Shetter, 83, passed away Jan. 30, 2015. She was born on Nov. 12, 1931, in Petersburg, Ohio to Roy and Anna Gibson. She was one of nine children. Four siblings preceded her in transitioning to the Lord; Glenn Gibson (Lois), Tyler Gibson (Myrtle), Robert Gibson (Janice), and Janice Cunningham (Nolan). She is survived by four sisters, all residing in Ohio; Laura Berton (Clarence), Betty Huffman (Robert), Thelma Akins (William), and Carol Ball (Terry). She leaves a multitude of nieces and nephews as well as grand and great grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands. Theodore Crawford, whom she married in 1950, died in an airplane accident in 1959. She married James Patrick in 1961 and he passed away in 1979. She married Dennis Shetter in 1981 and he passed away in 2000. She worked as a telephone operator until she retired.She is survived by her two children; daughter, Elaine Gustetic (Stanley) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and son, Michael Crawford of Concord, N.C. She also is survived by her two granddaughters, Jennifer Gustetic of Washington D.C., and Lauren Villeneuve (Philip) of Arlington, Va. She was a member of the Village Church in St. Augustine. She worked in the gift shop at the World Golf Hall of Fame until last fall. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, growing in her faith, working, and gardening. She will dearly be missed by those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made in her memory to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
