ARMSTRONG Eleanor Sinclair Armstrong passed away peacefully in her Ponte Vedra home on August 4, 2014. Eleanor was born in West Hoboken, New Jersey on April 21, 1922, the daughter of William & Josephine Dippel. She attended the Art Students League after moving to New York City and was a member of the Artists Equity and the National Association of Women Artists. Her work had been shown and sold at 57th Street Gallery in New York, where she had a one woman show, and at group exhibits nationally and abroad. She also was a model for Vogue Magazine and several other modeling assignments in New York City. In 1982, Eleanor and her husband, Donald B. Armstrong, moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and were very active in their community. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 35 years who passed in 1992.
