Evelyn L’Abbe’ Stoeckert was the daughter of Philip & Alice L’Abbe’ of Torrington CT. She attended Torrington schools and the University of Bridgeport. She lived in Connecticut most of her life and moved to Jacksonville Florida in 2005 where she has resided since then. While in CT, she belonged to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harwinton, and in Jacksonville she was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church.

In Evelyn’s younger years, she loved cooking, decorating, gardening and traveling. In her older years, she loved riding her tricycle around the lake and playing ‘Words with Friends’ on her tablet. She also loved birds, angels & butterflies and her life’s motto was F.R.O.G (Forever Rely On God). Throughout her entire life she loved her family most of all and was definitely the matriarch for the past 30 years. She was an extremely dedicated wife & mother, an amazing grandmother & great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to so many. She always thought of ways to brighten someone’s day, even in some small way, and was truly a guardian angel here on earth. She was loved very much by all and will be missed immensely. May Evelyn Rest In Peace forever.

She is survived by her three daughters, along with 3 son-in-laws: Lynn & Robert Milano of Torrington, Lee & John Fitzpatrick of Waterbury and Lori & Bruce Sambursky of Ponte Vedra, Fl. Evelyn is also survived by her are 7 grandchildren: Alison Mailhot (Drew), Amy Eucalitto (Jon), Ashley Fitzpatrick (fiancée, David Wilder), Michael Fitzpatrick, Rachel Fitzpatrick (boyfriend, Russell Hunter), Jacob Sambursky (fiancée, Ali Payan) and Rebecca Sambursky (fiancée, Nicholas Schippers); 6 great-grandchildren: Taylor Mailhot, Avery Mailhot, Luca Eucalitto, Caprianna Eucalitto, Natalia Eucalitto and Cody Wilder; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends, especially from Williams Walk Condominiums. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Stoeckert (who she was married to for 42 years before he died in 1991), her parents and two siblings, Marilyn Dwan and Earl L’Abbe’.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
