CRUGER F. Christopher Cruger Jr., 80, passed away November 7, 2015 at his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Chris was born to Frederic and Georgette Cruger on January 24, 1935 in New York City, NY. Chris was a graduate of the Hill School in Pottstown, PA, then went on to receive his bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University in 1960. He enlisted in the Army and was sent to Korea from 1956 through 1959 after completing Ranger certification. He was honorably discharged in 1959 having achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He began a career in sales with Proctor and Gamble and through the years worked for various food companies including Sara Lee, Quaker Oats and Mrs. Smith's Pies. He retired as President and CEO of Tone's Spices, Des Moines, IA, in 1995 then went on to lead the Food Service division at McCormick Spices, Baltimore, MD, for the next 5 years. In 2000 Chris truly retired in Ponte Vedra Beach, but continued to be a sitting member on several Boards of Directors throughout the country. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lynn Cruger; son, Timothy; daughters, Brooke and Paige; brother, Tony and 12 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 4 at the Palm's Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville Beach, FL, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Walker officiating.
