Frances Ann Rothenberg, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the McGraw Center Community Hospice with her children by her side. Frances was born on October 8, 1940 in Pulaski, Tennessee, to Franklin and Velma Hayes.

Frances dedicated her life to raising her three children; we didn’t always make her job easy! Her passion was her family and close friends of River Hills, SC, and Hilton Head Island, SC. She enjoyed playing tennis and working crossword puzzles but most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her three children, Gary L. Rothenberg, Waynesboro, GA, Leslie J. Rothenberg, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Scott A. Rothenberg, Waxhaw, NC; daughters-in-law, Angel Rothenberg (Gary), Teresa Rothenberg (Scott); son-in-law, AC Myers (Leslie); grandchildren, Brent Rothenberg, Courtney Rothenberg, Amanda Rothenberg, Matthew Rothenberg, and Jackson Rothenberg; brothers, Charlie Hayes (Jean) and Ronnie Hayes (Nancy); and sister-in-law, Barbra Hayes; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Buddy Hayes; sisters, Melba Hayes Hunt and Joyce Hayes Augustine; and brother-in-law, James Hunt.

Mom lived the last nine years of her life at Vicars Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and the family wants to give special thanks to Vicars Landing and their staff for taking excellent care of our Mom.

A private ceremony will be held on Friday, December 11th, 2020 at 2 PM at Ponte Vedra Valley.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to Community Hospice Anne & Donald McGraw Center for Caring, who took such excellent and compassionate care of our mom during her final days.
