Gilda P. Magid passed peacefully March 26th at the beautiful age of 96. Gilda was born in 1929 on the 10th of January to her two loving parents, Max and Ida Rossman. Gilda was the oldest of three, and loved telling the stories of how she took charge of looking after her younger brothers, Jerry and Irv Rossman. From busting up schoolboy fights, tending to broken limbs from them falling out of trees, and trying to enforce house rules like curfew, Gilda was born a mother at heart.
Gilda is survived by two sons, Ezra Magid and Gary Magid, whom she has loved and cared for more than she has loved herself, as the devoted mother she was born to be. Gilda’s life was further enriched by the love of her grandchildren and their families: Tanya, wife of Ezra and their children, Daniel and Rivka; Jenny, mother to Ben, Jonah, Hannah, Max and his wife Kree, and Sam and his wife, Nai and their daughter, Sophia.
Gilda will be laid to rest at Ponte Vedra Valley, on the 28th of March.
