Grace Santangelo, 99, of Ponte Vedra, FL passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, after a brief illness. Grace was born on June 23, 1926 in Phillipsburg, NJ and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Grace (Gallagher) Canavan. She was one of three children.
Grace graduated from St Philip and St James' High School in 1943, where she was 1st in her class and Yearbook Editor-in-Chief. She attended Temple University and Hahnemann School of Medical Technology in Philadelphia, PA. She worked at Hahnemann Hospital and at Easton Hospital until her marriage in 1952 to the late Charles E. Santangelo Sr., with whom she shared nearly 70 years of marriage. She lived in Norristown, PA with her husband and three children for 26 years. She and Charles moved to Naperville, IL in 1978 and lived there for 41 years. Grace has most recently lived in Ponte Vedra, FL for 6.5 years, where her sons, Stephen and Mark also reside. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles E. Santangelo Jr.
During her lifetime, she traveled with her husband to Italy, Ireland, New York, Ohio, Canada, Florida, South Dakota, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Grace is survived by 2 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 9:30 - 11 AM, followed by a chapel service starting at 11:00 AM. Livestreaming will begin 10 minutes prior to the service and can be viewed below.
