He was a drummer, a guitarist, a pianist, a vocalist, and a song writer.  In his youth he played tennis, football, baseball, and later in life followed these sports with great enthusiasm; he was an avid Gator fan. However, he found his calling in coaching his sons’ football and soccer teams.  In addition to his sons and parents, Ian is survived by his two sisters, Sara (Kevin) De Lange of Montvale, NJ, and Shannon (John) Blanton of Gaylordsville, CT; his nieces, Emma De Lange, Meg De Lange, and Josephine Blanton; his nephew, Clark Blanton and a number of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A Celebration of Ian’s Life will take place at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082 at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 9, 2019.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that Donations be sent to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
