Burnis Irene Mobley, 91, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, on Monday, January 2, 2017. Burnis was born in Blair’s Mill, Morgan County, KY, on September 9, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Wrigley Blair and Hattie Ann Sergent Blair, and her husband, Harve W. Mobley, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Nita Lyon, of Cincinnati, OH; her devoted best friend, Bonny (Lowell) Francois of West Chester, OH; her seven children, each will miss her immensely, Ron (Dee) Mobley of Kennesaw, GA, Susan (David) Hammer of Deerfield Beach, FL, Teresa (Fred) Sturdivant of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Nannette (Mark) Plunkett of Cincinnati, OH, Harve (Julie) Mobley of Orangeburg, SC, Mary (Brian) Jenkins of Melbourne, Australia, and Janis (Greg) Filbeck of Erie, PA; proud grandmother of Nathan (Jessie) Mobley, Katie (Ross) Biello, Drew Mobley, Marcus (Bryna) Mobley, Alexandra Hammer, Meredith Hammer, Caleb (Anna) Meloy, Hannah Meloy, Grace Meloy, Wyatt Jenkins, Morgan Jenkins, Aaron (Andrea) Filbeck, Kyle Filbeck, and Grant Filbeck; six great-grandchildren, Maxwell Mobley, Finnegan Mobley, Brooke Biello, Druw Cameron Biello, Clayr Mobley, Ava Mobley.
Please join us as we celebrate Burnis’s life, one filled with shared love, laughter, and devotion, time in the garden, and a love for music. Service at 11 am at LifeSpring Christian Church, 1373 W. Galbraith Road on Friday, January 13, 2017. Visitation with family will begin at 10am.
