Susan Elizabeth Hyatt, 81, went to the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 18, 1937, in Marion, IN, to Russel and Vera (Wimmer) Ring.  She graduated from Marion High School in 1955 and then attended Indiana University, finishing her undergraduate schooling at Butler University.  Susan married William Waddell Hyatt on May 3, 1949, in Marion, IN.  She began her career as an elementary school librarian in Greenfield, IN, and continued being an elementary librarian in Pike township, Indianapolis, where she worked until she retired.  After retiring, William and Susan lived on Pine Island, FL, Lake Tippecanoe, IN, St. Augustine, FL, and Ponte Vedra, FL.  Over the years, Susan enjoyed bible study, genealogy, bridge, reading, gardening, painting, and spending time with her family.  Susan was an active member in the many churches she attended.  Susan is survived by her husband, William W. Hyatt, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; her only daughter, Hollyce (Hyatt) Messinger and son-in-law, John R. Messinger, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Joshua Messinger, Neptune Beach, FL, Hannah Messinger and Hope Messinger, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.  She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Russel and Vera Ring.  A Celebration of Susan’s life will take place at Ponte Vedra Valley beginning with a Visitation on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 3-5 pm, with a Funeral Service at 5 pm, immediately followed by a reception.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to The National Right to Life Organization, www.nrlc.or/donate/
