J.B. Goldblatt, 80, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, passed away January 11, 2022. He was born August 14, 1941.

Jay attended Horace Mann High School, graduated with his master's degree in Economics from the University of Vermont, and was a member of Mensa. While in high school, he played varsity baseball all four years, and then went on to play two years of professional baseball for The Mets (1964-1965).

J.B. enjoyed traveling, playing golf, watching football and all the news shows, and seeing the grandchildren play their sports.

He is survived by his wife, Hilary; daughter, Dr. Randi Cohen; son, Neal Goldblatt; and six grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Reception, all at Ponte Vedra Valley.

The funeral service will be livestreamed directly below this obituary beginning approximately ten minutes before the service.
