James A. Pemberton, 61, died Sunday, February 9, 2020. Jim was born June 28, 1958 in Washington D.C. in the car on the way to the Washington Hospital Center. Jim was a very intelligent child and always made good grades, making his parents proud. Jim grew up in Hawaii, Virginia and Maryland. Jim graduated from Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville, MD in 1976 and went on to graduate from Virginia Tech with a Computer Science degree. Jim Worked in the Tech industry for a good part of his career. During his High School, College and most of his adult life, Jim enjoyed playing soccer, being a DJ on the radio, helping various bands set up for concerts and playing Frisbee Football. Jim is survived by his Mother, Floretta J. Pemberton, his Brother, William (Bill) Pemberton, Sister, Mary P. Veraa, Brother-in-Law, Michael J. Veraa, Nieces, Diane Veraa, Karen Schenone, Megan Marteeny, and Robyn Veraa, and various Great Nieces and Great Nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home and Cemetery.
