James C. Lange, a long-time resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Washington, D.C., died peacefully at home in Florida on October 25, 2022. He was born in 1931 to the late John Henry and Catherine (nee Schnackenberg) Lange in New York, NY.
Jim is survived by his three daughters, Nancy and Patricia Lange of Ponte Vedra Beach, and Barbara Lange of Washington, D.C.; a grandson, Nicholas Dulko of Virginia Beach, VA; his nephew, Lance Lange; and niece, Faith Guenther. He is predeceased by his wife, Joan Lange, and his brother, John Henry Lange.
He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1951, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He then graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jim’s penchant for world travel was shared by his family, and many memorable trips were enjoyed together on six continents over six decades.
