Janet Lynn Bonaventure passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 57. Janet was an unbelievable soul to everyone that she touched, incredible mother, and devoted wife. She was born June 20, 1964, in Jacksonville Beach, FL, to Albert (Al) and Jennie Dean.  Janet loved to help anyone who needed her assistance. Janet was the type of person who made everyone feel accepted for who they are, and she wouldn’t try to change anyone. She was the most loveable, positive, outgoing person you could ever meet. She was an FSU fan and loved spending time cuddling with her fur babies, dogs: Duke, Bear, Jacoby, Killian, and cat: LoveBug. She made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Janet enjoyed the 20+ years as a teller in multiple banking intuitions, but most of all she was admired for her passion in the Elementary Education Department (Seabreeze Elementary/Alden Road). Her many years of service has left such an impact on the children, parents, and faculty that will never be forgotten. She will also be fondly remembered by her Beach Bowl family.

Janet is preceded in death by her father, Albert Dean; her sister, Gail Crumbley (Dean); best friends, Carol Nishimura and Diana Pisani; mother-in-law, Jennette Bonaventure; and father-in-law, Leo Bonaventure.

Janet is survived by her husband of 37 years, Christopher Bonaventure Sr.; her children, Christopher Bonaventure Jr., April Bonaventure, Niki Bonaventure, Sarah Bonaventure (daughter-in-law), Michael Adams; grandchildren, Noah Bonaventure, Alyssa Bonaventure, Alannah Walker, and Leo Dean Bonaventure; mother, Jennie Dean; siblings, Buddy Dean (Tammy), Robert Dean (Lisa), Gloria Hurst (John), Maureen Stone; also, multiple extended family members, Seabreeze Elementary family, and Beach Bowl family.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 1, 2021, 6 pm at Christ's Church, 6045 Greenland Road, Jacksonville, FL, 32258.
