Jason Christopher Leiran passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on August 21, 2023, at the tender age of 19. Jason was born and raised in the Twin Cities until he and his family relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in 2018.
Jason is a 2022 graduate of Ponte Vedra High and was a proud member of the Chinese Honor Society and loved volunteering with the Washback Turtle Patrol in his spare time. Jason went on to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato, majoring in Computer Science. While at MSU, Jason was passionate about Greek Life as a Phi Kappa Psi Brother. He really enjoyed all that Greek Life had to offer, especially helping to organize community service and social events. Jason was set to return to MSU this year when he passed. Jason loved music festivals, basketball, dancing, debating, and “riding waves” with his best friends at the beach. Jason was a bright, sweet, and fun-loving young man who had so many talents and dreams yet to be explored that were sadly cut short.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be missed, but never forgotten. Jason is survived by his parents, Kevin and Barbara Leiran; his four adoring sisters, Linda, Bonnie, Katie, and Laura; grandparents, Phyllis, Joe, Kathryn, and Jim. Jason was an amazing “Uncle J” to Victoria, Julia, Ezmeralda, and Finn. Jason is also survived by his beloved childhood dog, Kirby.
The family will be receiving friends from 1 pm to 3 pm, with a time for sharing memories beginning at 2 pm, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, 32082.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made in Jason's honor to Phi Kappa Psi.
