Our mom, Jeanette Elizabeth Tremblay Bonaventure, left us to be with God and our father, Leo Joseph Bonaventure, on June 9, 2016.  Mom was born in Boston, MA on September 18, 1935.

Jeanette’s life was being the best wife to Leo, and mom to Leanne, Dawn, Blaise and Christopher.  Her life was family.

Mom left her life in New England as the Navy brought her and the family to Florida.  Mom and dad loved their life in Ponte Vedra Beach.  Their home was our gathering place for family, friends and lots of love.

Jeanette went back to school and studied nursing after raising our family.  She pursued many facets of nursing.  Beaches Hospital was her first venture in nursing as she helped her community.  For five years, she stepped in to the role as charge nurse for The Jacksonville Blood Bank helping the community to save lives.  Her next venture was as a real estate broker for Walter Williams for many years. She loved finding a great home for families.  In 1973 she found their Palm Valley home and retired early enjoying life with Leo, and her home became a life of joy and hard work for she and Leo.  Every day was an opportunity to plan a new experience whether it was buying a Tennessee Walker or planning a trip to New England.  Mom last resided in St. Augustine, where she and our dad spent his final days together.  Though life was so very lonely for her, she filled our lives with many memories for us to cherish with our families.

She is survived by her children, Leanne (Gene), Dawn (Larry), Blaise (Ken) and Christopher (Janet); grandchildren, Summer Dawn, Jeremy (Ariel), Jenny (Shawn), Melisa, Christopher (Sarah), April, Niki and Jason (Renee); great grandchildren, Zackary, Gabrial, Josh, Joey, Noah, Alysa and Alannah.  Jeanette will be forever loved and missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 17, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home and Cemetery.  Inurnment and reception to follow.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474 or Haven Hospice, 2497 US Highway 1 South, St. Augustine, FL 32086.
