John Foley, 60, of Saint Johns, Florida, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 22, 2026. Born on October 5, 1965 in North Plainfield, New Jersey to Ronald and Catherine Foley, John brought into the world a light that will be truly missed.

John was a man of heavy work ethic. It is no surprise that John climbed the corporate ladder and made a name for himself. John worked since the age of 15, but found his true passion in his 20’s. Having started in the Waste Industry at the age of 25, he began his career as a helper on a frontload truck. John’s reliability, eagerness, attention to detail, honesty, ethics and knowledge allowed him to exceed all expectations resulting in the accomplishment of having once been a CEO for Greenway Environmental in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. John’s career was followed by his position with Mark Dunning Industries as a General Manager overseeing the operations of 15 states. John was a proud garbage man by heart and never forgot where he came from.  

Outside of work, John was a car enthusiast. Anything with four wheels and a finely tuned engine brought him an excitement that cannot be explained. His prized possession was his 1965 Nova Chevy II, which was his toy he would race at the track even one month before his passing. He also owned a 1965 Jeep CJ5, which he fell in love for since the heart of the car housed a 350 Chevy small block. John was a devoted Pittsburg Steelers fan even when the odds weren’t in their favor. He had a love for food and family gatherings as his whole purpose in life was to be surrounded by family and a good time.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Yolanda Foley; his children, Christine Dotterweich, John Foley, Kellie Lisitano and Diana Craft; his grandchildren, Avery Dotterweich, Christopher Craft, Colt Foley, Justin Lisitano, Easton Dotterweich, Brynnleigh Foley and Sadie Craft; his parents, Ronald Foley and Catherine Foley; his siblings, Robert Foley, Ronald Foley and Kathleen Foley; as well as his nieces and nephews, Ryan Foley, Melissa Foley, Tony Ane, Alec Vega, Luke Foley and Marissa Forfar. John was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother and Uncle who was there for his family no matter what.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10:30 AM at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church. Lunch will be served following the service.
