Judy Ann Aldridge –– “Honey” –– passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Honey was born on November 9, 1941, in Blackshear, Georgia. She was close with her parents, Harvey Monroe and Willie Mae Lewis Aldridge.

Honey was bright and hardworking; she was the first in her family to attend college. She graduated from Georgia Teachers College and later pursued her Masters of Education in Reading Education, demonstrating the importance of higher learning to her family.

Her grandchildren describe her as gentle, loving, sweet, independent, graceful, and wise.

Her children speak fondly of her poise and perspective during times of adversity, her well timed humor, her witty quips of life advice ranging from home design to March Madness brackets. With an eye for design and architecture, she was ahead of her time as she remodeled and sold several homes in Amelia Island long before HGTV’s Fixer Upper.

Most of all, we remember Honey’s smile – her eyes watering and squinting as her happiness filled the room.

Honey, we know you’re enjoying one big fountain coke right now. We love and miss you and will see you again.

At her request, the immediate family will have a dinner to celebrate her life.
