Julia Stocks, 86, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. She was born July 30, 1934, in Marion, Texas, to Jacuito Hernandez and Elena Coronado. Julia graduated from Eagle Pass High School and attended undergraduate classes at the University of Hawaii and Central Florida Community College majoring in Business. Julia married Bernard Stocks on July 14, 1956, in Seguin, Texas. Julia traveled extensively throughout the US, Philippines, and Japan as a military spouse and mother working as an accountant and bookkeeper. Julia was an active 30-year member of the Lake County Florida Association for Family and Community Education and a senior member of the Orange Blossom Hills and Lakes Doll Club. Her hobbies included doll collecting, sewing, arts and crafts and fishing. Julia was an active member of the Catholic community attending services at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL, and contributing and participating in many Catholic charitable events.  Julia is survived by three sons, Peter Stocks, Palatka FL, MCPO, Mark Stocks (USCG Retired), Safety Harbor FL, CAPT Glenn Stocks (USCG Retired), Saint Augustine, FL; seven grandchildren, Sean, Brian, Alexandra, Chelsea, Megan, Tristan and Peter; one great grandchild, Zuri; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard, and son, CPO Tony Stocks (USCG). A Catholic Wake Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Ponte Vedra Valley.  Julia will be later inurned at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium with her husband, SSG Bernard Stocks (US Army) at a later date.
