(Mary) June Bishop Lands died at home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on April 12, 2015. June was born in Farley, Ala., in 1931. After raising her children, she and her husband Charles relocated to northeast Florida, where she was a St. John's county master gardener and a member of Ponte Vedra Beach's River City Writers. Her essays about growing up in Alabama and life in Florida have appeared in Water's Edge Magazine, the Scottsboro Daily Sentinel, Jacksonville Times-Union, Ponte Vedra Recorder, and elsewhere. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Lands Sr., of Ponte Vedra Beach; daughter, LeeAnn B. Lands of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Charles A. Lands Jr., of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Glenda Jacoway of Ashland City, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Shelby and Evan. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , P.O.
