Karen Haines passed away on Friday, January 16th, 2026, in Jacksonville Beach, surrounded by her family.
She was born in New Bern, North Carolina, to Glenn M. and Beverly A. White, both of whom predeceased her. Karen was also recently preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Haines.
Karen is survived by her twin brother, James White; her brother, Mike White and his wife, Kelly; and her sister, Stephanie Hunnicutt (née White). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Additionally, Karen is survived by her Uncle Jim White and his wife, Sarah, as well as her Uncle Guy Freeman. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach, Karen was cherished by many friends and acquaintances in the area.
Karen dedicated her professional career to the field of Ethics and Compliance, working with Prudential and Florida Blue in Jacksonville, Florida. After retiring, Karen and her husband, Bill, enjoyed traveling and hosting gatherings for friends. Karen was known for her passion for exercise and Pilates, making daily workouts an important part of her routine.
An interment and celebration of life will be held in Ponte Vedra on January 30, 2026, for family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
